The Tamukeyama is a weeping maple that has a cascading effect. New foliage is crimson red and soon matures to a dark reddish-purple. Bright scarlet is the color that appears in the fall. The trees beauty is enhanced by its dark red bark. Japanese Maple trees are not recommended for the middle of a front yard as they need to be protected from the wind.
