After the Holidays:

By early April, when the colored bracts begin to change color or fall, cut your plant back leaving 4 to 6 buds. Keep the plant in a sunny window, water and fertilize regularly. The Garden Factory® suggests Neptunes Organic Fish and Seaweed Fertilizer or Daniels Organic Fertilizer. To force your plant to bloom again for the holidays they will need to be placed in complete darkness for 14 continuous hours beginning October 1st. Move plants into a dark closet or place a large box over them. During the day they should have 6-8 hours of bright sunlight. Continue for 8-10 weeks and your plants will flower.
